Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop in DR Congo

Help Students and Families Stay Safe Online

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, many young people and families are using phones, computers, social media, and the internet without basic cybersecurity education. Students are going online for school, communication, learning, and opportunity, but many have never been taught how to protect themselves from scams, unsafe links, cyberbullying, identity theft, or online fraud.

Global CyberSafe wants to help change that.

Through this workshop project, we will provide practical cybersecurity awareness and digital safety education for students, families, and underserved communities in DR Congo. Our goal is to help people feel safer, more confident, and better prepared in today’s digital world.

Why This Project Matters

Technology is opening new doors for young people in DR Congo, but many communities do not have enough access to digital safety education.

These risks are real, but education can make a difference.

We believe cybersecurity should not be only for companies, governments, or technology experts. Every student, parent, and community member deserves the knowledge to stay safe online.

What We Will Do

Global CyberSafe will work directly with our nonprofit partner in DR Congo to organize a community-based cybersecurity awareness workshop.

Participants will learn how to:

Who This Project Will Help

This project will support students, parents, families, educators, and community members in DR Congo, especially those in underserved communities with limited access to cybersecurity education and digital literacy resources.

The workshop is designed to be practical, welcoming, and easy to understand for people with different levels of technology experience.

How Donations Will Be Used

Donations to Global CyberSafe will help us prepare and deliver the workshop in DR Congo.

Why Your Support Matters

A small gift can help a student learn how to protect their online account. It can help a parent recognize a scam before losing money. It can help a young person understand cyberbullying and online safety.

Your donation is not just supporting a workshop. It is helping people gain knowledge they can use every day.

Our Goal

We are raising funds to launch our first cybersecurity awareness workshop in DR Congo and begin building a stronger digital safety education program for underserved communities.

This project will be led by Global CyberSafe in collaboration with our nonprofit partner in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
